HPC coated extractors

Postby AB7 » Sat Sep 29, 2007 5:27 pm

Hi Guys,

Just got my Maxim Works extractors back from HPC. I truly recommend these guys, it was very quick turnaround, delivered promptly and well packaged.

Thanks to Green_Comet, he convinced me to get it coated. The cost is $187 - Hipercoat inside and out, $22 - Chemical Clean and $16.50 courier each way. All up $242 and the header looks brilliant!!!

We all know the heat problem with aftermarket extractors. I hope this will sort it out :). I must say these Maxim Works extractors is a work of art...it's so well made, the guys at HPC also commented on it and these people seen a lot of extractors.

Can't wait to get it installed soon :)

Looks awesome!

Do they have a satin black finish? I've been thinking of getting my headers done in satin black, and then I'll wrap them in header tape. Exile Cycles does that sort of thing and I've always liked the look. I've got a lot of crackle black finishes in my engine bay and I think this would really work.

Damn..we got the same taste here...Love those Exile bike, been a fan of their work for quite a while.

They do have the matt black, but its more expensive. Its more for turbo application, They have higher temp threshold.

Yeah Babs, most of the coating companies can do a matt black finish - It's actually better (heat insulation wise)than the silver finishes.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
