Hmmm. I don't know about the NB and the MAF, but I know the NA6 will stall if you unplug the AFM.

The NB doesn't have an AFM, are you talking about the MAF or are you a little confused? :oops: Pics would help us help you. :D

Can anyone clarify that the NB will still run if you unplug the MAF?

Right, well, I'm no help at all then, as I said; the NA6 it just stalls if you unplug the AFM. :D

Well you can't start an NB if the MAF is dead...I will say that much. Never unplugged it with it running. If there's gunk in the IAC valve it will force it to search for idle a lot.

NB8B will start without the MAF. I accidentally left it unplugged last time I serviced my car. :oops: :mrgreen:

Mine wouldn't start without a MAF... Irwin8er can back me up on that one. I had to steal his for 2 days while I got my ECU upgraded to use a MAP sensor after my MAF died.
