Hi Guys,
I was browsing through a car wreckers the other day and saw a set of these funky purple NA shocks - the bloke tried to sell them to me however I wasn't too sure whether they would sit under my NB8B. Would I be able to purchase them and then change the springs and get the correct spring rate? Or are these shocks incompatible because they are designed for an older model?
Any help would be great!

Unless you are able to get the history on the shocks, and/or a warranty I would steer clear of them. I bought some 2nd hand Mazdaspeed shocks from a wrecker a few years ago. I installed them, but they just didn't feel right. Took them to a trusted suspension shop and had them tested. They were shot. I was told they had only done 20k Km, but as there was no warranty and they couldn't be rebuilt so I kept the springs and threw the rest out......expensive lesson.
As for your question, I know the NB shocks will fit a NA if you alos change over the top mount.....so I guess NA shocks would fit the NB....you might want to check the spring ratings though...
