We are living right in downtown San Francisco and I mostly fly for work, so no car purchase as yet. There are a lot of options though at prices that would make us cry in Australia... for now we use these guys when we need transport and its a brilliant service :

If you live downtown, zipcars are hard to go past... they are ridiculously cheap, we probably only spend the cost of just parking our own car each month ! We live within a block of at least 10 zipcars and there are 2 other companies if we wanted a bigger selection.
The best thing is that they recently added a bunch of brand new 328i's (which actually run the 3lt from our 330i and not a 2.8 as the badge suggests). For $25 more a day than a Honda Civic, it has to be the rental car deal of the century. All the things I have read about the BMW 3lt 6cyl are true.

Re:
I have spoken to Emilio a few times and the cost was in another thread i created it worked out to be slightly over 1k landed i think as it was approx 300usd for air freight onto of rims at 150 each.
im seriously considering these now as they are hte perfect fitment in my opinion..
What do you guys think the silver finish.. or black inside with polished lip? to go on a white NA..

FWIW I've just had a chat with Australian Customs about my missing rim and even though the other 3 have been delivered the goods are attracting both GST and Duty as their over the $1000 mark (by $180) Emilio sent the rims as 4 separate parcels so their playing the \"your trying to get out of duty\" card.
Not a real problem except for their new way of doing business. I have to wait for their paperwork to arrive in the post and then send that back so they can calculate what I owe them. They then send an invoice that I can pay by credit card by mailing it back - they suggest it could be another week or two....
I want my rims and I want them now!!! (much stamping of feet)

If anyone else is thinking of ordering a set of these, please let me know. I'm keen if we can talk him into getting them here for under $1K. I'm not interested in getting them tomorrow, so they don't have to come airfreight. Perhaps we can get a couple of sets sent surface mail.
Cal.
PS centre caps are for homos, they look so much better without them. Perhaps he can knock the $180 off the price if we don't want them??

FWIW Unless Emilio has stock his next run of rims will be in the US's spring 08. I think he may have only the silver left from the last order.

its all good, just want my bloody rim!!
I'd get him to provide two invoices and do the two address things but it really is a lucky dip. Just faxed off the paperwork to customs so is up to them.
That said even if it costs a couple of hundred more their still a cheap rim. I brought in a set of Panasport C8's previously and they cost me $550 a rim and in a 13x8 size weighed 4.8kg. To be able to get a 15x8 that only weighs a kilo more and is the perfect offset for half the price is a bargain!

Re:
totally agree man as these were designed for our application, weight/style and size being key factors still cheap considering other options available will cost almost twice as much locally per rim.
i want pics when they go on!! what are they going on? NA or NB?
Cheers
