Absolutely love my PSS9s!! Single best mod I've done. I have no driving experience of the Teins so can't comment on that, but I can say the build quality of the PSS9s is superb, and you do have a lot of expertise behind the brand. Are they worth double the money of the Teins? Don't know - only someone who has owned and dríven on both could answer that, but I suspect not - I doubt they are twice as good as Teins, so value for money wise I think Teins are your answer. Most of the racers on here seem to use them and not Bilsteins, so I guess that says something too. For the record my experience so far has been with stock NB suspension and then Konis and Kings, and now PSS9s bought second hand at the right price. Over to the experts....

I haven't dríven a 5 on Tiens, but I've had rides in a couple of other brand cars with them.
I think the biggest difference between the Tiens and the Bilstiens are ride comfort.
When set anywhere from medium hard or less, the ride is very, very good, yet the Bilstiens still have very good wheel control.
There is no floating or after effects from bumps, but they won't break your back either.
The PSS9's are expensive, but you only get what you pay for.
The Billys are re-buildable, so theoretically, they'll last forever and they can be customised to your liking by changing valves.
The lap record for an SP at Wakefield, by a club member was on an SP using the PSS9's, so that must say something too. He did 1:10.88 on an otherwise, pretty stock car.
Just because a shock is hard, it doesn't mean it will handle well.
Good feel and handling come from good wheel control, and NOT stiffness as being too stiff means your car will just skip around in bumpy conditions, and let's face it, our roads are pretty rough out here.

Any ways im gettin prices here and ill see what will be the best price obtainable on these puppy's
Would still love more info and input on these if anybody is using them or has used them

has anyone looked at doing the hard work themselves and bringing over some Tein SS from Japan?
I had a look at the greenline website and they can be bought for $820 (approx w/exchange rates)...
what would shipping be?
i could be wrong but this could be an option for you...
anyone got any thoughts?

There is a place in Melbourne that sells them go and ask them for a quote...
http://www.quadrantsuspensions.com.au/
I cant quite remember but its a bit over 2k for the PSS9s...
Add an extra 200 or so for someone to install them...
Add ontop of that 100 or so for an alignment...

I thought PSS9's were more expensive than that? Although I'd like a set, I figured (at the time) that they don't give me good bang for the buck. The cost is fine and dandy if you're gonna be really pushing it, but I reasoned that it wasn't really worth it if the majority of driving was to be road driving. Hence my desire for Tein SS or Bilstein PSS.
Need to properly look into it all though. These are fairly expensive upgrades, so the decision needs to be perfect, otherwise it's a waste of money.
