Received my 15x8's from 949Racing.com

I got my wheels from Emilio today, I know these have been discussed in the forum before. The quality looks great, each wheel is stamped with a weight, mine are 5.79kg... not bad for the size.

I also got the alloy valve stems and the alloy nuts, the nuts are great value at $3.50 I think, really light and look cool in black !

I live in the states right now, but I think they are offering pretty good deals for shipping to oz. 4 of them wont go over the magic $1k import limit either.

Now I just have to figure out what tyres I am going to run on them....

hot! these are on my list of track wheels to consider! can anyone who has received them in OZ confirm the costs landed? Also what are the offset of these? i had feeling they had a few different options now..

+36 and I've not paid any duty - although the last rim is still in customs and won't be delivered till mon-tues.

Im really starting to like these wheels. Looks wise i would prefer RPF1 however an extra inch of width for only a 1.4kg penalty and about 500 bucks cheaper than RPF1 15x7 are real positives.

I hear Emilio recommends a 225/45/15 on these, what tyres do you intend to run?

I was going to run emilio's recommended nitto tyres, but i read some good and bad reviews on them. I ordered 225/50/15 A048 for the rear and will run 205 at the front... not sure how thats all going to work out for me but we will see !

Nice rims...BTW any of you considered putting in 235? Check out Goodwin racing forum, there's a few guys with 8\" with rims with 235, depending on the offset, apparently you won't find much issue.

mate your soo on the same page as me these are my two choices as track wheels.. have the same feelings on the looks to... pitty the enkei's aren't an inch wider.... choices choices

Man these are hot rims....My only worry would be clearance problems. On the rear it mightnt be such a problem, however on the front it looks like it would...

take a look at 949racing.com and search the miata.net forums... they have been specially designed for the miata/mx5 to 'just' clear (Dependant on the camber your running i would assume). At the very very least a tiny tiny bit of guard rolling may be involved but i doubt it.. iv seen plenty of NA/NB's running the +36 15x8 up front with no issues .. using both 205/50 and 225/45's
