What alarm/immobiliser do you have?

Postby Jimmy » Mon Sep 10, 2007 11:17 am

I installed a nice stereo yesterday and it got me thinking that i should really get an alarm installed. I did some research last night and there are so many brands with yonks of different features and ad-ons which all have big names. The top brands which really stood out (maybe due to familiarity) were Rhino, Viper, Black Widow and Mongoose. What alarms do you guys use and what \"ad-on's\" do you have. Ive heard that an ultra high-pitched sound is a good ad-on but stuffed if i know whats its called! My budget would be $700 ball park. Oh and i have a soft top only (dont know if this makes a difference to those micro sensor thingys)

Thanks guys,
Jimmy

I have a tracker alarm with the interior motion sensor and automatic window closing feature.

Not cheap at around $2k installed, but this is the third car I've had it in, so it's not so bad really.

I've got a Repeller alarm in Malibu.
It's apparently Italian, so is quite loud

It's got the usual features (immobilizer, siren, battery backup), plus I had central locking and internal motion sensors added.

Never a drama, works well.
