Got my 04 soft top today from Mania ( thanks heaps for the advice in this regard ). The guy on the phone said that it did not come with a rain rail but could get another one if I needed to. To my surprise it arrived with the rain rail attached to the top. I am going to install tomorrow but have noticed 2 or 3 small cracks in the rain rail. They run from the top edge and are only about an inch long. Will this cause me a problem ? Is it ok to install with the small cracks ? I would rather use the one from the 04 as I am told they are far better than the one that is in it now ( 90 NA )
Any advice appreciated

I stuck gaffa tape on the couple of little cracks on mine. No problems with it yet.

Yep, what Ben and Garry said. I used good quality cloth backed tape to seal up the rain rail on two of my MX-5s. After reinstalling the roof pour water around the bottom of the rear window and make sure the water is flowing out of the small drain pipes in front of each rear wheel and there is no water getting into the cabin.
