Diff swap

Hey All

I recently did the pinion gear in my 90 Model MX-5. I have finally sourced another diff and housing however I want to swap my LSD centre into the new Diff. Is this possible if so how hard is it?

I have spoken to my mechanic who says it can be done but mentioned something about swapping the bearings
