mine had a squeak after doing a little suspension work, I recently changed the swaybars and greased all the bolts through the swaybar links. This seems to have fixed the problem. All I can suggest is to grease all those kinda bolts and also the shock bolts.

I had a bad squeak on one corner of my '93 when I bought it earlier this year. I tried a few things (including regreasing the swaybar bits) but it didn't go away until I replaced the shocks and springs. I have a feeling it was the shock on that corner that was doing the squeaking.

Is your squeak just in one corner, or all over?

You have 2 suggestions...

Grease Sway and shock bolts
Replace suspension

Don't forget that your suspension is 14 years old now so it will need some sort of maintenance. I would start with the grease and then look at replacing your suspension.

Sweaking Suspension

bump

Calling on the wisdomess of forumites.

I recently installed some height adjustable bilsteins in my NB8B. Prior to adjusting their heights, the shocks did not make any squeaks whatsoever.

But after playing around with the collars and lowering the car, there appears to be some squeaks when going over bumps and even flat surfaces. It is coming from the RHS of the car (front and rear)

When i tightened up the collars and rotated the springs a bit to make sure there was no dirt stuck between the shock and spring, the squeaks went away. But after 10 minutes of driving, the squeaks have returned, but they only squeak over bumps and not over flat surfaces anymore.

Where are the squeaks coming from, on the shocks? And more importantly, how do i get rid of them?
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..

Maybe your springs are rubbing together upon compression? or the rubber ontop of the spring perch has perished.
