ohhhh yea ...what a day. I had a ball.

we actually had a fairly clear run for most of the day. No push bikes or bikes on the Old Road. The old girl(El Presidente) was leading until she got us lost...... gasbagging to hard with a former Captain no doubt. They missed the mangrove mountain turn of. I was kinda thinking...... don't we veer left here ???
Most important thing was that we had a good larf 12km down the road when she realised.
Youre a top sport Jean. Even when we bag you.

So it was back on track a little later. We had a fantastic crisp run to Wollombi Pub.
After some more socialising we headed off to Broke. What a fantastic road. Patchy realy got to stretch her legs on that bit. & we finally arrive at Hunter Gardens. I've never been there before. Amazing how its such a beautiful Garden with playgrounds & quality cafe/restaurants In the middle of absolutely nowhere.
I had to leave early as family dutys called. But I had a total buzz.

I haven't been on a club run in about 12 months & i've forgotten how much fun it is.
Jean.....Thanks for a great day.

Patchy too, sends her gratitude. She needed a big day out. She needed to throw out those cobwebs. She is abolutely purring.......
In fact....

she's wasn't purring....

when i listened real close.

I'm sure patchy was reciting poetry.

:lol::lol: :mrgreen:

Thanks for organising the run Jean. I had fun. The wet weather must have kept the slow traffic at home. We had a pretty clear run up and a nice clear run back. 8)

A huge THANKS to Jean and Jane for organizing the run. It was a delight to see so many beautiful cars dríven by such wonderful enthusiasts. Thanks to all who had me as a passenger. What fun it is to hop into other's cars and reaffirm the thrill of being an MX5 owner and club member.

Keep up the thrills and be sure to look me up if ever headed to the Pacific Northwest (Seattle) USA.

You just had to tell everyone didn't you!!!! At least the others only hinted gently! And it wasn't 12 ks down the road, it was less! Maybe 5 or 6 at the most!!!!
It was nice to see you again, Stan, it has been a while!
We came home down the Putty Road. Boy was that fun in the rain. I managed to stay ahead of two SP's for most of the way!!! I wont say who they were!!!
I did enjoy the entire day & John it was nice to catch up with you again on my territory this time! I wonder where we will meet next!
