Front bar for Na

Postby Pumpn'Go » Sun Aug 19, 2007 1:04 pm

Can anyone let me know where the best places are to get a bar?
Maby send a pic of what you have , where you got it, and how much it cost.
I'm looking to give a bit stronger look and a better air inlet for an intercooler. But I dont want to scrape the ground.
Thanks Col

I will if that is the best I can get , but I would like one with a bit more length on the forward bottom lip. If I have to I will concider modifying one. I have a mate that runs a fiberglass shop, but even getting him to modify something takes lots of time , so it's not really worth doing for 1 front bar.

I have found the thread I think you were talking about,( mx5 boy). I did a search on your name and kept looking . It was ,Body Kit Thread for NA.
There is heaps of good stuff and some ugly s###. I love the one totaly made from carbon fibre, although I would paint it. Problem is, like all the others , they are not available.
So still looking in Australia.
As far as racing beat lip, I really want the bottom lip to be forward of the bumper.

Think it was purchased from Mania, ask them for current pricing and availability :)

I think it's the nicest after market bar for the NA. You might want to paint your sills first though.

Unless you do THIS to it.

(note the style bars are still intact).

That'll buff right out (actually - a bit of fibreglass and some work and it would be fine.....

The Type 1 is a good option too.....

Mania can do a really good deal on the type 1 bar, however the type 2 costs almost double
Current: Red 04 SE (Slightly modified) - 133rwkw@7psi - Winner of the Mania Dyno Day 2008
Previous: Titanium 04 SE (Standard)
White 94 NA (Severely Modified) - 180rwkw - Runner up at the Mania Dyno Day 2007

That's because you get twice as much bar. The Type I attaches half way down the original bar. The Type II is a whole new bar.
