I appreciate the style. Each to their own.

Wasn't quite what i was getting at. I don't get the emphasise on weight, when those street tyres will almost double it. I would personally at least (if youre sticking to street tyres) make the most of it and buy something fitting for those wheels, something like an RE001, a falken azenis (although they are ridiculously heavy as well), something that will grip on the street and not wear out like a true R-Spec tyre will.

Having said that, i've got 17000km on my car and about 11000km have been done on R-Spec tyres (RE55S). 3 track days in that time as well, and they appear they'll go on for a good few more! Good tyre pressures, well sorted alignment specs and rotating front to rear occasionally seem to help. Allows you have to have some serious fun with bikes and other quick cars when the road gets twisty instead of thinking \"damn, why do i have crappy street tyres on today...\"

Unfortunately we dont have the 14 ich support Japan has.......they have RE001R we cant even get RE001 in 14 inch :evil:

So why not speak to someone like me? I never said i couldn't do tyres! I import wide body kits, wheels, heavy suspension kits. Tyres are no problem!

If you want RE01R's, then i can bring them in! Why compromise?

Don't go to any great trouble to organise it tho.

There's a rather huge temptation right now to go out and buy the first set of round, black tyres of any description right now

Doing tyres isn't a problem. But i would need to get quite a few sets. Maybe in the future i will!
