Natmeet - 2008 - Victoria
Yes, it is almost that time again. Time for NatMeet. The Victorian club is hosting the event over Easter 2008, Friday 21 to Tuesday 25 March.
So far over 20 couples have registered for the biggest event on the MX-5 calendar.
See the following link for more information.

This is a fantastic to opportunity to spend a few days with like minded people, enjoying the best Victoria has to offer and have a great time doing it.
Look forward to meeting you in 2008

I'm in depending on what happens with my work.
Would be cool to share a 4 bedroom unit with some of you pranksters, but i doubt you'd appreciate my snoring.
Currently some W.A. club members are considering shipping our cars to Adelaide and driving in with the S.A. club.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Glad to see you involved Sam.
I don't think we'd have much chance against the Winton regulars for all out track times but we'll do our best in the trial of regularity.
I guess the trick for us interstate drivers would be do we bring 2 sets of tyres, or find some R comps to do the entire trip on that will also be suitable for days and days or highway driving or Melbourne's soggy weather patterns.

That's a big mouthful of a question. I guess if you're running in modified then finding a reasoable set of Rspecs (worth 2.5 secs at Winton Long) to go the whole weekend on would be the go.
If you're only lightly modified and want to run road tyres, you may fit into our clubman class.
My suggestion would be to have a read over our classing rules and fit into what you see best for you.

Well I guess that puts me in the Modified section so i'd need \"R\" compound tyres.
But i'd expect that a lot of enthusiasts cars would also fit within this category as well as the Naturally Aspirated race cars that have managed to stay street registered.

Now there's a challenge
Okibi is right. The only way to match the Vic's is to run R compound tyres. And then there is the problem of getting them there and learning a new track.
If I come down Sam, you will have to show me the fastest lines and not dissapear into the distance like you did at Phillip Island.
