Melbourne Dodgy Day ? ?

Postby Fatty » Sun Jul 29, 2007 9:14 pm

Seems our mates up north have a lot of these but i can't recall one ever being organised here in my time on the forum ?

Is anyone interested in this? i have a bit of room here at my place in preston. could probly fit 5 or 6 cars on the grass in the back yard, 2 in the rear garage, and 4 out the front.

i have a bunch of stuff to do... diff install, brake upgrade, shocks, springs, bushes, fixing slow power windows... and probably a bunch of other stuff.

anyway seems like it could be fun, even if only a couple of jobs get done. have a bbq and a ping pong table...

any interest? no date in mind just yet, but sometime soon eh , weather permitting?

Rules for Dodgy

1/ there must be wingszzz

2/ there must be theft from white NA's

3/ the wingszzz must be mind bogglingly hot

4/ the Knob is the easiest and most overlooked bit

5/ these wingszzz did I mention they should be HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P :P :P :P

6/ I recall Victoria pioneered \"dodgy\" but had it stolen from them...... GP style
Went for a drive and there were slow cars everywhere, why are NC's so common . . . must be NC = Normally Cardiganed.

Fatty, Victoria was the birthplace of Dodgey Bros Inc. The brothers seem to have been pretty quiet down there lately though.

In fact they were so well organised they even had a workshop at thier disposal.

But if Memory serves me right.....they started in Mattys driveway. and we were all extreemly envious at the time that they could organise such a fantastic day. But it has been surpassed to the Grand scale at the Gold Coast. Where everything is bigger & dodgier. :P

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. It's about time us Victorians took back the crown. Fastfreddy has a few little brilliant impromtu dodgy days which are getting me by but we need something grander. Sign me up Fatty as interested.

yeah i know they started in vic but i've only had my mx for 2 years and it seems that there has been no dodginess in that time, at leat that i am aware of. maybe matty moving overseas has something to do with it, or people moving on, or maybe it has gone underground or something. i dunno i just thought maybe it was time for some of us to meet up and have some fun :D

anyway so bdscott and me are keen , anyone else ?

QLD Dodgy started in Fairfield, and has been taken to Everton Park, Gold Coast and more recently Hillcrest.

The Vics may have started dodgy, but you have a looooooooooooooooooooooooong way to come to catch up :)

Hi Fatty,

I am willing to assist.(subject to date). I have done and assisted in all of the tasks that you want to perform.

I would suggest that if possible we get our hands on a compressor and air tools. Will make the job much quicker.

Dodgy is the No.1 way to make contacts and friends in the MX5 world. Club runs are great too, but you don't spend enough time face to face with people to make true friendships.....

Gather around a deep fryer and see just how good it can get !

Come on Victoria, if anywhere in AUS needs warming with some wingzz... it must be there !

I hosted a dodgy day earlier this year in Melbourne.
I have a compressor and air tools.
When are we thinking of having this dodgy day.

Im, useless with tools, But ... I have learnt the secret of wingzzzzzzz first hand from Wayne and co while I was up in QLD last year. If someone can supply a deep fryer, I can produce the wingzzzz. Maybe I can even con SPy to post down some thermoneculear sauce for those brave enough to partake. Oh and I can run around and be generally useless and get in the way with a camrea (as we all know, pics or ban)
