Prestige Autotrim Products (ebay)
I have searched the forums, but come up empty handed.
I have had my roof slashed and a buch of stuff stolen from my NA6.
Has anyone had expioerience with Prestige Autotrim? They are the softtops that are always for sale on ebay from Britain. I know they are guaranteed to fit and they have satisfaction guarantees, but has anyone actually bought from them?
I assume that they do not include the frame. Anyone know different?
Does the glass window fold as flat as the plastic one?
What's good about mohair?
I assume that an 89 NA6 would not have the required electricals for the demister. Is this correct?
Eagerly awaiting responses.

Just did the roof thing myself, and Went for a Robbins top over the Prestige one, Ended up cheaper too.
I saw mixed things about the Prestive top, which steered me to the Robbins one. Fitted easily on my own, and only needed a hand to do the rain rail (after spending all day trying to get it on)
None of the replacement tops come with a frame. If you need one, look around for a second hand frame + top.
Mine folds flat, bit seems a little thicker folded than the old plastic one. I Think its down to how new and stiff the new top is right now.
I was steered away from cloth and mohair tops quickly, as from accounts, they need more care/cleaning and dont last as long as the Vinyl tops.
'89 cars dont have the electical parts installed, so unless your lucky and someone has done it for you, youll need to do it. See here

http://www.aus-cartalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=25577&highlight=. I have the mohair one and it is fantastic. Not hard at all to keep clean and still looks very black even after a year.

Sorry to hear that adam... what area did it happen in??
with regards to the prestige stuff, i've seen Vu's roof and it looks like a really neat fit.. I almost bought one too..
The only thing i was panicky about was wanting a glass window and was concerned about it getting smashed during freight. sure enough they'd prob replace it but its all the hassles that go with it.

In the carpark of Cosgrove Hall, off south road near the tonsley hotel. I was at a friend's place just across the road. The perp obviously is familiar with the mx5. he knew there was a zip, but didnt know which side it started on so he cut both. then unzipped the back window and crawled over the boot scratching and denting it as he went. Took about $3000 worth of gear (all hidden, out of sight). I was pretty happy
Cost is not an issue to me. What is this Robbins that you speak of?
Supermazdacart, i have seen your car around the place. I'd love to have a look at your roof some time. Where in Adelaide are you from?

Probably worth checking what sort of condition your current rain rail is in. The ones on ebay don't come with one. It could end up costing you more in the long run buying a new rain rail and getting the thnig water tight. Mine came with an ebay roof but they didnt properly attach the rain rail (which was busted anyway) and all the water on the outside of the car came inside the car. Ended up buying a new rain rail (they're not cheap either) and doing it myself. My 2 c.

I will fall on my dignity here:
What's a rain rail?
Mine with the Robbins roof installed. Even came with the rainrail fitted, the straps and directions for the bow modification, and all the holes punched in the right places. Very nice kit, and very easy to do.

Where i ended up getting mine from. Was just under $700 AUD delivered to the door using Express post, in just under a week for the Glass + Demister version.

Wow, good stuff ArJuna...looks better than OEM. I like the fact it is one piece around the glass. The rear looks very tight as well...nice
Is that Vinyl?....looks like cloth to me.
