the b+ is contant 12v?
i dont have a multimeter to test it with

the wiring I used to do mine for my 2000 NB8A was found on this site
http://www.madracki.com/miata/wiring.html
open the System Wiring Diagram (it's a pdf) then search for stereo (use ctrl+f)
I didn't use the \"internal lights system\" wires though

For those that are interested, I'm fairly sure this "internal lights system" wire is if your head unit has a dimmer. In the NB8A's, the dim control for the lights basically above the fuse box will dim/brighten your stereo if it's hooked up.
I had it connected in my first MX5, but don't think I did it in this one for some reason...
