any regular track boys use tein ss?? how do they cope with regular track work and daily driving??

i have heard of 54sec evo (QR sprint i think) using them quite often and they seem to cope. I have them but have only been on the road and I honestly have not noticed any less comfort - handling is in another league though.

I have them, they are very good on track (but have a lot of roll stiffness so if you have upgraded the rear swaybar you might want to consider going back to stock). On the road, they are firm, but give a pretty good ride. Definitely a step above the usual Konis, etc.

Brother Trav

Super Streets handle daily driving perfectly. It's what they're designed for. If you intend on tracking the car, i'd recommend Flex ($2099 through me). If you want to track the car regularly, then Mono Flex would be a good move ($2395).

Both Flex and Mono Flex allow height adjustment from the base of the shock, so as not to alter pre-load on the spring.

I need to show you some to give you full appreciation

I have some Mono Flex for Hellmun coming in on monday. If i have them long enough, you're welcome to take a look. Or maybe come from a drive down when i drop them off to him?

I bought in a little item through them and they were superb; strike while the dollar is strong!!!

You do realise PerfectRun, and other internet based stores, don't cover duties, customs fee or GST, right? Expect a nice surprise when they land in Australia! They won't cost $1387 anymore!

That price for Flex is well below my cost price. All of my prices i quote include cost of air freight (7 days from japan), duties and customs fees for clearance, as well as GST. No hidden expenses, it's all laid out infront of you.

I have heard many stories about online stores not delivering when they say the parts will arrive, some are \"discontinued\" simply because they can't get them anymore or that company won't deal with them anymore, and sometimes they just don't reply to your email after taking your money. Do a search. Read the horror stories. People who use me now to buy their parts have had bad experiences with stores. One waited a month, no parts arrived. He then waited another month for a reply to his email. Still no parts. Promised they were being sent. 1 month later, still no parts. He ordered in April. Some arrived last week! I have heard the same thing from other people about other places. They now use me. At least they know they will get their parts when i say they will and for the price i quoted!

I appreciate the concern, i am currently designing my gif image for my banner and will be advertising shortly. I have been in contact with the admin. No doubt, you will see it at the top of every page soon. The support from this forum has been great so far. I appreciate all of the PM's!

You are right they won't be $1387 unless they escaped duty.

Ok so we say 15% duty on the total ( and it won't be quite that much as duty is not paid on the freight but GST is paid on both freight , duty and purchase price)plus 10% GST= $1755,at your door and I have never paid"customs fees" on anything I have brought to Australia from Japan or the US.

You may have to because you choose to use a Customs forwarder but it is misleading to suggest that others would have to ,at least from my experience.

I have no affiliation with Perfectrun other than being a satisfied customer but unless the "comments" you have received about poor peformance by"these" stores relates to them that is a pretty cheap shot!!

I would be interested in what others who have used them think, and hope that this forum continues to be a place where people who see good deals and have good experiences can continue to pass on that information.

From what i understand, and from what has been charged to me previously, you pay duty (10%) on the total including freight. You are then charged 10% on that amount for GST. Brokerage fees are charged as well. You think they clear them for free? :lol:

Unless you do it yourself and fill out all the paperwork, etc and lodge them, someone will be required and it costs money.

Where did i say there was anything wrong with PerfectRun? Read it again. I simply said they don't cover any of the charges at our end. So when you buy something, expect to pay it when it gets here. Also expect it to take a while and have 2 struts sent out at a time, as i believe 27kg is above the weight limit for EMS. I know Nengun send them 2 at a time!

The main complaints have been about Nengun, although some people have had no problem with them. Either way, you and everyone else can choose whoever they like. It's no skin off my nose. I have more than enough business to keep me busy!

Peter, don't always shine light on the happy times. There are more people having bad experiences with online stores at present than there are good. I think most people would prefer to hear both sides and make their own choice rather than have it sugar coated and find out the hard way. It can be financially detrimental finding out after it's too late!

If you import privately(I have on numerous occasions) I have not had to pay brokeridge. When i used to run an import business to fund my rally career years ago the volumes were high, the goods came in container loads and I CHOSE to employ a broker as it made sense.

I have also paid 15%and 10 % as outlined when I have imported over the last few years(privately)

Fair enough, there are poor performers out there, all the more reason to let people know of good experiences.

Ther will also be plenty of people who cannot be bothered importing and want to pay someone else to do it for them with the (hopefully) the added security of being better able to seek redress if something goes wrong.ie they are dealing with someone in Australia.
