Mcmonte, I want to look at your Starcorp wheels

Postby Rugged » Mon Jul 16, 2007 7:07 pm

I am looking at buying a set of the Starcorp Racing Lite wheels (16\"), but I would like to see them on someone's car first. I am in Perth and I recall Mcmonte (also in Perth) saying in a previous post that he had a set. If Mcmonte, or anyone else in Perth who has a set, could let me have a look at theirs could you please PM me?

Yes they are racing competition wheels. Have not weighed them but they seem to be close to the std wheels. Car was transformed when these were fitted instead of the 17' wheels I had.

Thanks Grumpy (and others) for the photos. I have seen photos of these before which is why I thought I might go for them, however I am keen to see them \"in the flesh\" before I commit.

Can you describe the finish on them? I particularly like the 'smoke brilliant' finish on the OEM wheels on the 2004 SE, i.e. a duller finish rather than the usual 'silver' finish.

They have a black chrome finish available, which is a reasonably bright finish but a bit darker than silver.
I can vouch that they are the lightest wheels you can afford.
The 16's weigh around 6kg, which is lighter than the factory 16's, and they are quite strong and tough enough to take Sydney's potholes.
They are the only forged wheel I know anywhere near the price.

Pity you're in Perth, as I could sell you 2 near perfect ones for a good price, with 2, slightly buckled ones as spares.

Trust me, you'll like them.
