I had the tpg's as my first toyo's and found them to have great feedback and you always new how hard you could push and stay stuck especially in wet,as for the t1r's i have now they have good grip but i dont think they have the feedback and feel i wanted. To get the most you just have to back the tyre, and throw it into a corner remembering you paid for a performance tyre. Let us know how the 4's go as that might be my next set :)

Took the Kuhmo's on the track on the weekend. My first track day, so I don't have anything to compare them to, but I found they went alright. Spun out a few times, but I put that down to me being too trigger happy on the throttle :P

Grip in general was quite good, although it could definitely have done with more. But when you're hard cornering at some ridiculous speed (I didn't look down to see how fast I was going) you can't really blame them for not quite having as much grip as slicks. Noticed a bit of a whine when I was doing about 140+, but that could also be due to alignment issues (it's definitely out, even when doing daily driving).

Tread wise, I'm not sure exactly how much it went down, but there's still a solid amount left, so they lasted the day without getting annihilated.

I got a set of Proxes 4 put on last week.

Only done about 250 km but they seem to be good (they worked out to be same price as kumho ku31).

just gave tyrepower a call this morn. they told me my proxes 4 are in the warehouse at this present moment - so i can get them fitted tomorrow. woot! and tomorrow happens to be my 21st too which is even better 8)

just a quick question, how many psi should I be running on the tyre? they are 205/45/16. and after how many thousand kms should I be doign a wheel rotation and wheel alignment?
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..

Happy birthday for tomorrow!

If you haven't had an alignment in a while; I would get tyres, set pressure to 34ish (cold), run in for 200-300 kms then get wheel alignment from somewhere good (not from the tyre shop).

Wheel rotation is recommended every 10K IIRC.

why shouldn't you get the wheel balancing done when you get the fresh set of tyres? :roll:

got quoted at a steering shop for $50 for wheel alignment with wheel balancing. not too bad.
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..
