Unless it's been put on by a gorilla or you own an SP and the AC pipes stop you getting access from above and I cant get my arms in the right spot for enough leverage through the mudguard. I use the tool on a loooong extension arm. It's still a PITA but I cant do it any other way. I've tried lots of times.

Standard brace on the NA series' - never found it got in the way until I installed the oil feed fitting plate to feed the turbo..... I just sourced a different sized filter in the correct fitting size.....

I've removed the support from 3 NAs and never had an issue...

Makes the car lighter too :mrgreen:
