3 months on and my FFS kit runs like a dream.

I would do it over again. Tom from FFS is absolutely brilliant with support. Any new developments he makes he gives to customers. I'm getting a card that allows me to control timing on my car. - I recommend all vvt's should have that function (no matter what ecu you are running). The vvt engines are funny with that.

The horsepower is great - So far I've hosed off a modified S14b 200sx, Porsche 928 (V8 - chase HQ model...for those into arcade games) BA XR6 turbo, several WRX's.

Horsepower is a drug - currently I'm running a 105mm crank pulley - I'm ready to go for 120mm - greater boost! YEAH BABY!

Then I can be finished with dyno machines once and for all. Currently I'm in the high 140's rwkw.

That's top new's Chris . Finally we get some data to back up the claims from you and I over the last few months and silence the doubters :P :P . Mine is in the closing stages of going back together. It will have a mania CAI and NA8 pistons which will of course lower the comp. With the 105mm Tom said it may drop a couple of hp but it will be REAL good for bigger pullies. I understand Daniel has done a nice job with the CAI and I'm sure it will sound amazing with it. Its been inferred I could be driving this weekend..

thanks! I think the plan with my kit is for 6-7 psi. So it should be very safe at those levels. I only have 65k on the clock and a lower comp ration then your car (i think) so I should be ok.

Yes your'e right. 6-7psi will be fine, you won't need any timing control.

Im' pretty sure compression goes

na6 9.0 to one, na8 9.0 to one, nb8a 9.5 to one (10ae the same?) and nb8b 10.0 to 1. If anyone knows better fee free to shoot me down :P .

Let us know how it goes. Good to see an Aussie company getting the jump on Jackson Racing..

10AE has the nb8b motor i think.

I will have a proper piggy back computer so I can tune for all other mods as well - that and tune it on 98 ron.

10AE has the NB8A motor that according to legend, old wives tales and wishful thinking was supposed to be blue printed.

long time since an update. The kit is finished an only needs a smaller charger pulley then off to tune.

Wow...looks good.
How much is this kit cost inc the fitting?
I wonder how this kit compare to the AVO turbo stage 1?

not sure on cost really as this is the prototype but I am sure they will be able to work it out in the wash up.

My kit is free of labour pretty much with cost price parts.

The kit for the Z4 is 6250 i think plus fitting plus computer and tuning. That said they may do a chip with a pre set map that will bring the cost down. It will not be the cheapest kit out there but having gone through it all I can say that it has been done properly and alot of issues have been ironed out - and to Bulletcars credit at their cost. That and unlike a lot of kits this is designed for Australian cars and tuned with the Australian weather.

It will run about 9-10psi and should make about 230hp at the engine but until the tune is finished we will not know.

Forgive my ignorance, but this is hot side yes? I still haven't found out what causes the difference between hot and cold sides of the engine

For the NA / NB

Hotside (Passanger Side) The side the exhaust headers are on. These radiate heat.

Coldside (Drivers Side) Intake side of the engine.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

The hotside/coldside thing is a bit of a misnomer alluding to cooler running. A \"hotside\" supercharger is indeed on the hot side of the engine but in doing that it allows you the option of installing an intercooler to cool the charge air. A \"coldside\" supercharger is on the cold side of the engine but the charge air entering the engine will actually be hotter as it goes directly from being compressed straight into the engine.
