Yeah but for my own safety I think I'll go something a little better than stock.

If you are still unsure of the CAS you could always make a pickup for the cranks instead of using the cam for timing. This gives a more accurate timing reading as it does away with any slop/movement in the camgears/timming belt.

Now that I own an MX5 it's a bit easier to see whats needed. I know there's going to be a lot of muckin about but there's more room than I had anticipated and I can now see what changes need to be made.

On a seperate note I can't understand why you can buy equal length aftermarket turbo manifolds for BP but you can only get sh!tty log style manifolds for B6. Looks like I'll be making a custom :) (which is what I expected anyway).

Motor is all paid for and arrives tomorrow, let the games begin :P

I had a custom equal length one for B6 for sale on here not too long ago!

Spewin! It would've at least got me by until I made exactly what I want.

On a happier not my engine builder kindly dropped my engine off to me this afternoon. There's still plenty of work to do starting with converting the front of the engine to adapt to the MX5 but at least my motor is home :D

here are some very \"happy\" snaps :P

I may be able to source another one that is exactly thesame construction, but they aren't cheap, custom made etc.

Sounds good.

I have plenty of contacts to get one made, I'd only have to pay for materials. It's still time consuming though and a hold up I don't need for now if I can source a ready made one.
