My entry form did arrive and has been sent out & accepted. Hand Grenade has a set of brakes that will work, had a few frightening moments a few weeks ago at OP south going into turn 1, actually going pass turn 1. Will need them for the GP track before turn 2 as the car is carrying a lot of speed at the end of the straight.

I have edited the opening post to correct an error - registration does not guarantee you an entry, but you do have access to a a period for registrants only, prior to general entries opening.

I hope this has not affected anyone here ... if so my apologies

As for today's Rd 2 at EC, .... well done Matilda 8th overall & 2nd in class, Renny and Stewart also 2nd in class, and the rest of us ...

And don't ask about the MG in Class 2B
I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Build thread

NB SE - gone to the dark side (and loving it 8) )

We were lucky with the weather until the afternoon when it all came down. I hope the guy in the WRX is ok after his crash.
The black Honda CRX in my class SVC is one quick car and driver he did a 1:51 the best I could do on the day was 1:55. At least I was the only SVC car which drove to the track on its own power.

The SVC class appears to be for cars or clubman cars, which are, modified quiet a bit. Then again most of the cars are modified a lot and you could argue what class they really are in.
For example, any car with a roll bar or cage or racing seat in a road-registered class would require an engineers report to show that it is road legal thus able to be registered for road use due to the modified structure in the car.
The whole class system seems to be ok but it is very easy to find loopholes in the rules that blur the classes.
The problem is that you can make it impossible for some people to join in, and it’s down to the drivers to be up front and the officials to enforce the rules.

My credit car just copped another $180 hit from the NSWRR Club yesterday for Oran Park on Sunday. No idea why, as they had already scooped their entry fees 4 weeks ago. No one is answering their phones today either.

Any one else been similarly stung or knows why it has happened?

ARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

I forgot to add my \"1\" to my number for the car, signifying the difference between the drivers, and my father has been attributed with my PB and coming equal second in Class 2B with Mike Hicks. Mike and I both posted 1:28:13, although because of my failure to change the numbers my father has been creditied with it.

Still, all in all, a good day. Got to drive a different circuit and learn much over the course of the day. Huge turnout! Much fun!

Much thanks, as always, to all the volunteers and organisers from the NSW Road Racing Club for putting on the event.
