re intake

Postby Novice1 » Tue Jun 26, 2007 8:21 pm

How much louder does this mod make the car. I was planning on doing it.

Recently installed ? Loch Stewart cat back system, my mechanic says its a Rob Bliss system. Regardless, the men in blue pulled my son over the other day when driving my car and told him \" to turn it down a bit\", meaning the sound.

Had a CAI on my NA but cant remember it making the car that much louder.

I, was planning on getting a loch stewart airbox fitted this saturday, but am now in a bit of a quandry.

Cheers

well... the standard mania cold air intake doesnt make a HUGE sound.. (in my opionion) unless you put your foot down..

im still waiting for the enlarged piping however after listening to Josh's at mania.. it did sound significantly louder.. i have a 2 1/4 system (xforce headers and a MagnaFlow cat back system to 4\" tip.. i havnt had any dramas with the exhaust combined with the intake.. but i cant wait to get the sound that comes with the enlarged piping and cold air intake..!
