Hi, I posted this under the MX5 Body, Paint & Trim, but haven't had a single response. Maybe it's because not as many people visits it.
I was wondering if someone can help me with the headlight adjustments on the NB8B....
On the NB8B, there seem to be two adjusters for alignment for each headlight unit that I can see.
One is a long bolt/phillips head adjustment (sticking up). The other is a bolt type adjectment (lower into the headlight unit).
Which one of these adjusts for vertical & horizontal plane?
Are there only two for each headlight unit? I would have thought the high-beam would have had a separate adjusters to the low-beam.

Hi Hammer,
No seperate adjustment for high-beam. From memory the bolt sticking up on the angle is the height adjustment. Just drive the car up close to a flat wall/ garage door etc., and note the point that the centre of the beam hits. Turn the adjustor and watch it move - you will see it pretty quickly.
Cheers,
Dave

Re: NB8B Headlight Adjustment Query
Thought it would make sense to revive an old thread than start a new one!
So this answers half of my question...but how does one adjust the headlight left and right?
My right headlight points to the left (ie left of it's own centre line).

Re: NB8B Headlight Adjustment Query
there are 2 adjuster screws- one outboard ie behind the projector with cross recess and the other with hex head located inboard- both easily accessible.

One would assume that after lowering the car, the headlights should be adjusted. A point not often mentioned.
