GP - I bought the simota filter for my CAI from Autobarn and it was ~$55 for the crappy coloured one. About $10 more for a CF or chrome one.
I bought the yellow one and painted it.

mmm reading this, i had another idea
my intention was to have a hole in a firewall, leading to a custom made airbox with a decent sized airfilter sitting inside, and a vent ontop feeding from the bonnet, seems possible in my head but would they conflict?
