The window got replaced back in january this year. After a good soaking (which we seem to be getting a lot of lately) the stiching in the bottom corners starts to leak and slowly drips inside. Ive heard that you can rub wax on the stiching to prevent this. Just wondering if this is the way to go and if so, what sort of wax should i be using.

Aaargh, I'd stay away from boot polish...depending on the type your talking about that is. If it's the clear stuff I'm thinking of then it should be ok, it's more of an oil like stuff.
But if it's the black/tan etc... stuff, I wouldn't recommend. I find water tends to love it from my experiance (could be brand specific. so some might work) and it soaks through. And if you've been using it to touch up the inside of your hood as well stay far far away. If water gets in and condensation starts it collects the polish and drips down onto your seats etc... (previous owner of my MX had done this, took me ages to clean it off).
Wax however should work really well (or chap stick), or even silicone.
But I'd use silicone if you decided to reupholster the window yourself (manual sewing it that is), and silicone between the window and the edge covers, a project I'm looking at doing shortly.

I tried boot polish a few weeks back and it hasnt worked. I think i recall someone saying something about rubbing bees wax into the stitching...i think
I dont need to reupholster the window as this was done in January. Just looking for a sealant for the stitching itself as this is the problem.

yeah the people i bought the car off did the roof 2 years before selling and redid the window beginning of this year. Whoever they got to do it did the shodiest job. The rain rail wasn't connected to the soft top at all. Endless leaks that im slowly correcting. But ive got to work with what ive got. If i had it my way, id ditch the roof altogether (cheap ebay job) and get it done properly.
