Tempe Tyres in Sydney also do tyre / wheel packages as grumpy mentioned. the starcorp wheels are lightweight and look fantastic on the mx5, having seen 2 of them in the flesh i can vouch for this, (just saw grumpy's car yesterday actually). not sure what tyres they use, but the packes is only $100 more than the bob jane one.

I'll give them a call to find out.
Also, if anyone has made the change from 14\" to 15\" wheels on an NA, does it make a significant difference to handling and ride?

Nankangs. Please, whatever you do, upgrade the tyres to something that costs over $100 per wheel.

I went from really light 14s (the BBS lightweight LE rims) to fecking heavy 15s with Semi-slicks (yes, that made a HUGE difference) to lightweight 15s. I couldn't tell the difference between 14s and 15s in ride quality, there is still a fair amount of sidewall there.

I went from 17 x 7 with fair tyres , to standard rims fitted with Dunlop G Grids, and now 15 x 6.5 and Yokohama C drives. The 17's looked good, did not corner well. The standard rims and G Grids were 100% better at Phillip Island track. The 15's are better again at the Islend. Waiting for final results but got down to 2.12.065 around the track on the first run. This was about 2 second quicker than std rims and G Grids. Apart from the wheels, the car is stock standard.

Perhaps they sold tall their stock to swiftlancerexcel drivers
Just registered to provide more feedback on the Tempe alternative.
Although not an MX5, mine is a small, light car and I've been running these Lite 5s (same as Boags') for nearly three years. Tempe couriered them to Perth on a mini-pallet and everything was sweet, right down to 34psi in each tyre. Back then they were using Falken ZE326 which are okay but not great!
In my case, the ride is more comfortable with the 15s, partly because they're lighter than the OEM 14s (7.7 vs ~5kg). I've been running the same coilovers for 4 years.

I've done that. Changed from light 14x6s to 15x6.5 of the same weight. Not really much difference at all, maybe slightly quicker turn-in. The big difference is the much better range of tyres you can buy for 15" rims.
