yes lots of people get rid of the afm and use a map sensor on the na6.

some ecu's come with the map sensor already installed in the ecu. i am not familiar with the wolf tho. but if it does, just T into the vac line near the back of the intake manifold and run the hose into the cabin and connect it up. you will need to fit a air temp sensor as well, to replace the sensor in the afm.

i would think that the wolf documentation would probably explain all this. but yeah, i reckon it is definately do-able.

NA6A's respond well to an aftermarket ecu, mine has run afm (stock) and map the difference in the power/torque curves are well worth the investment :D

is it possible to put one is? The direct plug and play wolf can use a map sensor instead of the afm so i'm trying to work out if its possible to do that on this motor??

Thanks again!!

You can use a MAP on basically any engine, depending on teh ECU MAP can be hard to tune for lump cams or multiple TBs, but on an MX5, you shouldn't have any problems.

You will get good consistent readings from the factory vacuum port on the intake plenum.
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.
