Redline or Royal Purple

Postby Boost » Thu Jun 07, 2007 12:49 pm

I called around looking for Redline tranny fluid with no luck. However the guy at Pep's says that according to an international test which was carried the Royal Purple came out on top.
They only stock the Royal Purple,, funny that. The royal purple retail for $22.75/L. How much is the Redline and where can I get some?

If your in sydney, you can purchase redline light weight shock proof gear oil from mx5mania, for some reason they have it cheaper then what its listed for on the redline website.

I used the blue Redline and found it too thin, and on hot days the shift would get sticky and the gearbox noisy. Some gearboxes like a thin fluid but IMHO the MX5 isn't one of them....the RP is just much more consistent.
