Are you sure they are clipped into the bonnet properly? Mine seem to be aimed OK though I read on the miatanet thread that the NA ones shoot up a little to high.

Yeah, Sabretooth's left nozzle was spraying over the roof to start with, turned out it wasn't clipped in the whole way.

They do spray quite high on the wndscreen though...

Aren't they off a USDM Tribute or something? That's got a much taller screen than a '5 :D

When I fit mine I'm gonna look at using a thin piece of rubber as a spacer at the front of them, to try to angle them down a little

Mine are perfect when driving, but too high when stationary. Not a problem as I only use them when driving.... :D If you change the thick ness of the spacer they will either rattle around (too thin) or not fit at all (too thick). They're made to fit the panel thickness snuggly, so if you wanted to change the fit you would need to do some plastic trimming and fiddling - would be easy to stuff it up.

Yes but instead of reefing back on the wiper wand for a 10 second water blast, can't you just goose it to half-throttle to just get the squirt to the halfway point on the screen?

Have you guys all forgotten about throttle control? :)

Exactly!
I usually give it a few quick pulls of the lever to get it spraying all over the wondscreen and hardly get a drop inside the car if I'm moving or stationary.
A few short sprays work better than one big, long spray.
It uses a lot less water too.
