Sorry for hijacking the thread but seeing that this would be the biggest brake pad thread I thought someone might be able to help.

So I've got reconed suspension, while the NA is still on stands I thought I might as well machine the rotors and get new pads. The ones on there have been since day one...some Jap pads; green and have NBK D6101 engraved on. Not sure how good they are but they seem sufficient for my driving...mostly twisties, I'm not that heavy on the brakes anyway.

Don't wanna to spend too much but don't want the cheapest either. The two that springs to mind are Lucas and Bendix Advance

There's a quick review from a Soarer suggest the Lucas be a good all rounder..

Definately not great track pads but might just be enough.

Cheers

Mine have given out on me on the road too... On the 400km club runs where there are often 20minute stints of good spirited twisty section they'll start to stink (for the guy behind me) and then just turn to mush.

I won't be buying them again...

I've used HP+ before and loved them. I have some on the way with 1.8 rotors & caliper brackets. I expect dust and noise from a high performance pad (note - mine is not a daily driver though)
