DIY Bumper repair

had a bit of an incident when my front bumper met one of those concrete things at the end of a car space(or the bolt holding it down ). left a bit of a crack. Any one got any tips on how to fix this? been thinking along the lines of a fiberglass repair kit for the back and bottom then some bog to fill the front, which i can sand down and spray. is this the best way to go about this? or is there better way?

Bumpers are plastic, so just get someone to plastic weld it, then you can sand it down smooth, prep it and get someone to paint it.

I've heard that the material Mazda uses for the MX5 bumper does not like being plastic welded. If it can't be bogged, it's gotta be replaced AFAIK.

Not a Mazda bumper but a custom job i think. not 100% on what type, was on the car when bought.

The whole nose is one piece, from bonnet/headlights down. As far as i can see the back is fiberglass with the front plastic. sounds like plastic welding could be the go

fiberglass it up! =)

bunnings (i think) sell fiber glass kits
they are about $100 from what i remember...

should get a small square about 300x300mm & glue

you can tell if its fiberglass aswell, on the otherside of the bar you'll be able to feel all the fibers if u rub you hand across it
