Has anyone tried the power mod chips on ebay?

Power mod chips = sceptical
Ebay = get outta here !

I doubt even the professionally sold and installed ones do much for performance.

there are FREE ways to achieve the same thing. all they claim to do is lean the mixtures out a bit , right ? ... well you can do that for free by tightenning the spring on you airflow metre. also, you'll get more power by advancing your timing. again, a free mod.
