All I know at the moment it's a 1 day event so we get one Qualifying and sprint race for each driver and then the 1 hour in the afternoon...won't get more details till the week before the event...

Looking like there should be at least 4 Turbo MX5s running.

This date unfortunately conflicts with the CAMS Supersprint event at Oran Park GP.

I would love to see the 1 hour boys go around again. Good luck guys!

Sorry, missed this thread. Neither Neil or I are doing this one. We are however doing the QR, Oran Park and Phillip Island 1hrs later this year. I believe there are 3 cars coming from Qld for this one.

Looks like there will be about 25 cars running...probably only 6 or 7 MX5s...

My co-driver just flew in from Europe after competing at the Nurbergring 24hour in a V8 commodore.

The short version...

My car...Wheel came loose my qualifying,then hose blew off turbo...cold weather making too much boost...got it sorted,In 1 hour we finished 2nd. class 9th outright,pretty good result...did a 1.48.2sec.

Mania car blew engine in the second race...

Brians car stopped in 1 hour race...

All the QLD guys appeared to go well,I haven't really looked at the results...

Is there a reason why the 1 Hour hasn't been posted on the Natsoft website yet? Does anyone know?

I understand the delay is because of numerous protests about people passing under yellows when the safety car was deployed - twice!!

It was great to see all the Mazdas on track and have some fun with the QLD guys.

Lou did an outstanding job in his SE with a 1.48 and still has a few plans to try out!!!

We used our 2nd car after the main one suffered from oil blowby and dumped 2 litres of oil into the catch tank before picking up a big end

The 2nd one went great and we got down into the mid 1.51's

The Maniac Monster was incredibly quick and once they solve the reliabiltiy issues should be well and truly at the pointy end of the results.

Brians car was looking good until a gearbox issue took them out of the race towards the end

Val did a great job in the RX7 and was the first one home!!

All in all a great time was had by most and we all back up again next weekend at Oran Park for the FOSC!!

Dont forget if you can get there come on over as it will be another great weekend organised by the great crew at MG Racing!!
