whats a softop worth?

Postby irwin83r » Wed May 09, 2007 9:50 pm

hey all..

say someone was going to remove there glass windowed soft top what would it be worth in good condition, no leaks one minor nick but no leakin as mentioned.

would the rain rail have to be sold with it? do you need the rain rail if only using a hardtop?

Rain rail is a part of the soft top. Hard top doesn't need it.

As everyone knows on the forum I bought mine here for $540.

I paid $850 for a good condition glass window roof with frame and rain rail from MX5Plus.

I'd say you could get around $5-600 for a reasonable condition one selling privately.

If you know where to look mazda genuine for 300 bucks brand new!!!

the rain rail can be seperated
I think if you were to buy another they are around 140 from mazda

if you were going to a plastic rear window you would keep your rail as a new top would not come with the rail

you would also need to swap the roof frame as they are slightly different in the bow sections :P
