Will you being bringing a "loaner NC" to the track day on Monday?

And Andrew, will the Gold beast be there, or will I have a chance to catch up in the point score?

Matt

looking good for your points matt :? mania have gone off the radar again... so im lost as to what to do about my gearbox and last day of rego was today.. so looks like ill be sitting out unless theres a chance of late rego?? and i pull this box apart myself and patch it up.. might just need new bushes in the turret or something as i can use all the gears and they sound and feel fine its just selecting thats the issue... i have to play with the shifter alot.. like its missing the gates or something to get it to go into 5th then it drops in with a little grind :?

anyone know who id talk to and what my chances would be of a late rego for monday??

I wouldn't know personally, but I would assume giving Zan a call and seeing whether you can bring the paperwork on the day

Does that mean another 50+ car day? Good turnout for a Monday.

How did we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic day, a big field of 60 cars.

I turned up the wick on the NC to put eight laps in the 1:13 bracket with a PB of 1:13.46 and take out a Class 5 win. 8) Was also the quickest naturally aspirated MX5 on the day :D

The Mania boys, Daniel & David blasted round the circuit in the 1:05.01. I couldn't believe how quick that MX5 is. I saw the car approaching two cars behind me as I entered the fish hook and thought I'd let him pass on the back straight but before I had even gotten to the corner onto the back straight he flown past and was gone  Fast :!:

From memory in Class 5 next was Ed Cory in the 1:14s, Mike and Matt in the 1:15s, can't remember the rest.

Renny in Hand Grenade did a 1:12 flat.

Fantastic day but I already said that.
:D :D :D :D :D

Well done CB! That's awesome. :D

What tyres were you on? I presumed you changed them from the T1Rs. :)

My to-do list before I go to bed tonight:

1. Swap some tyres
2. Install seat belt buckle
3. Install fire extinguisher
4. Get my CD player working again

Things I *unfortunately* won't get time to do:

1. Remove race seat and reinstall original seat
2. Put stock muffler back on.

With rapidly deteriorating RA-1s, I managed to knock up a few PBs today. Finally broke into the 15s on my second run of the day, then spent the best part of the rest of the day pushing myself too hard to go faster.

On the final session, with all hope of grip fading fast, I managed my personal best of 1:15:68. About 0.7 seconds better than my previous best. So pretty stoked about that.

My only concern of the day came when I came out onto the straight from the front of the grid and found a Dato 260Z bearing down on me at a rate of knots that apparently had missed the chequered flag for two laps running!

Mild case of the \"not happy JAN!\"s.

What a great day - I had a blast. PB of 1.19:24 for me. Next time I'll have to try something stickier than street tyres. :P :)

Here's a few more pics:

As the others have said, it was a great day. Weather was good, warm, but not too hot (like last time). I had a great time. Did my best time of 1:22.11 (yeah, I know, pretty slow  ) in the second session of the day, and then couldn't go any faster for the rest of the day  .

Thanks to all involved in organising and running the day, and thanks to Phil and Andre for the pics :D
