Agreed injectors will not give you power, but they become a necessity once you reach a certain point. We needed to fit larger ones on my race car.
As for a stock 1600 producing 90rwkw, I'd like to put a number of other cars on the same dyno on the same day, if you know what I mean.

who is the dude that go 20wkw from 805c's and microtech? - do that and extractors. if you get a tune on 100ron it should help a little.
I got from 63Kw stock 1.6 to 85Kw
Mods:
Straight through exhaust from extractors (Loch) no cat
Cold side induction
Microtech ECU
805C cams / FM cam gears (not required for the 805C's)
Cost exhaust /intake around $1k
Microtech +fitting $2k
Cams and Tuning $1.5K
So a budget of $4-5K should get a 1.8 20-25Kw extra na isnt cheap per kw

I have just returned from a 3 day 1900 klm drive through Gippsland, over Hotham to Wodonga, then to Thredbo, back to Bright and then home via the King Valley, and Mansfield.
This is the first big trip since the Ecu and cams went in and I am delighted with the way the thing goes.It certainly makes power up top but is still so driveable; great fun pulling 7500-8000rpm in second on really steep tight bits and on the highway a change down to third at say 90klph makes overtaking a breeze.
I got reasonable economy, never below 10lt per100klms even when really given the stick and around 9 overall.
I went with Johnd(1.6 BBR low pressure turbo) and Chris H( 2001 6 speed) .
I think the Tighe 805 c's are a great fast road cam and couldn't be happier with them.
I don't know if you could get 100kw. NA easily but can tell you 94 is enjoyable!!

The easiest solution is to try different dynos until you find one that reads higher.
I got 82.1kW on a Dyno Dynamics in \"Shootout Mode\", with custom intake and dodgy press bend cat back.
If you're looking for more power, perhaps an aftermarket ECU and Quad Throttle Bodies and some Cams.
Good news is Toda now make Cam gears to suit the NB8As.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

If you're,in Sydney I can point you towards a VERY generous dyno....
I've never seen any car make less on this particular dyno then it has on any other...
