100kw @ wheels from NB8A
hi all, just wanting to know what kinda stuff u would do to an NB8a to gain 100kw at the wheels?
would full exhaust, CAI do the trick or would u require computer and cams also?
maybe just exhaust cai and fuel computer??
anyway any help would be great

You might get another couple, up to ninety I guess but by the sound of it the zorst is already working because I thought the 98/00s only did around 82 stock rwkw? What was your baseline dyno pre mods and which type of dyno did the 87 show up on? All my comparisons are to shootouts.
I just checked the dyno posts and 75 stock would be normal so it sounds like you are already laughing - another freak NB8A!

At a dyno day a few months back, an NB8A with short ram CAI, extractors, and exhaust got 82.5 rwkw.
I can't really see how you'd get 87rwkw before any decent mods were made. Different dynos, different days, but 5rwkw is a pretty big gap.
You'd need extractors, proper exhaust and CAI, aftermarket ECU (piggyback), and probably cams.

True and true. This is about what my race car would put out I think. Perhaps it has a shade more. It ain't really friendly on the street and the build cost about $6K + computer.

Most cars were 0.5-1.00KW less. I could only put the difference down to a zorst mod.

when you say 805c's, what are you talking about ?
injectors??
bigger injectors will have NO benefit on a naturally aspirated engine.

Very much not true. Injectors should be sized to the engines requirements. At 120rwkw NA, I had to use larger injectors and more rail pressure as I was well above the original injectors operating range. 805 grinds from Tighe are the ones they recommend using with a stock ECU. If you really want more power, they have plenty of other grinds but you will need to alter timing and fueling delivery. I've had 805s, 877s and a modified 879 grind (lotus ford) which are very serious cams requiring lotsof mods to fit. They will increase power but also $/kw disroportionately. The 805s are a sensible cam choice.
