This raises an interesting point though: why are manufacturers all shifting the trend to xenon lighting, and in particular the 5000k-6000k range (which is white/blue)? Despite scientific research, etc.


Aren't original equipment HIDs in the 4800K range?

It's the ILLEGAL aftermarket kits that come in the blue range. A lot of the dazzle from these aftermarket kits is caused by housings etc not built for the HID lightsource.

The oem hid equipt cars comes with bulbs that are 4300k to 4800k. Kits comes with colour temps ranging from 5000k all the way up to 1200k. :shock:
