New headlights installed!
Was a bit of a b!tch to get the wiring sorted, but hey presto! Blue eyes for my baby It actually looks ALOT more blue in the picture than in real life somehow (excuse the camera phone quality). The pic shows the angel eye on in low beam
What do you guys think?

was that a DIY or did you buy a kit then just install yourself?
It was a kit bought off yahoo. Saw it and got it straight away as it was an absolute bargain Apparently the NA shares its headlight size (7") with a lot of other cars, hence I think that's the reason why it was viable for them to manufacture something like this. The angel eye is actually white in real life, and the hi-beam is slightly blue. It's an open lamp design as well, so its possible to put in any sort of bulbs, even xenon/HID
The wiring needed some work though as it wasn't long enough, so I took a spare power cable lying around, using it to extend the wiring, and then hooked it up to the low beam/hi beam circuits accordingly. Took mechanically inept me a while to figure it all out but the results are worth it I think!

Looks nice Astro Yep mine are white as well....but somehow everytime I take a pic it turn out blue
I bought them off yahoo hong kong, and picked them up when I was last over there. They work out to be approximately $40 with globes. They're no name globes though, so I assume for your price you probably got some good ones instead?

After looking at those pictures, now I want to get a set for my car ...

You'll know what I mean if you google for the reaction of human eyes to the blue spectrum.
I get what you mean. But I say this a 3rd time...they just *look* blue in the pics...they're actually white....sigh
You have a valid point though. My friend just did a xenon upgrade to his Peugeot and every time we go driving at nite I hate to be in front of him. Why? They're blindingly bright. I didn't google the human eye's reaction to the blue spectrum, but I'm guessing that its either slower, or less effective compared to other spectrums. This raises an interesting point though: why are manufacturers all shifting the trend to xenon lighting, and in particular the 5000k-6000k range (which is white/blue)? Despite scientific research, etc.
Just a thought.

Because looking at the light doesnt do as great tempory damage to ur retina (ie when u close ur eyes u dont see the different colours where u saw the light) if that makes any sense

Deez,
Have you noticed that blue headlights tend to flicker or jitter for want of a better word in your peripheral vision? That's because blue light plays havoc with the ability of our eyes to focus. Although we don't, and are not supposed to look directly at oncoming headlights but to focus on the road immediately in front, the blue light strays into our peripheral vision nonetheless, and that's what makes them so annoying. Some annoyed drivers can turn out to be dangerous drivers, one way or the other. Also as a matter of fact, blue light gives you less illumination than white light.
I'm glad your light is white rather than blue, but will other drivers see the blue tinge on the light covers, and thereby making them look jittery? Brighter than normal white headlights don't usually bother our vision as long as they are properly engineered to illuminate(read aimed).
