I was told I definately had a spot. I haven't heard since I sent payment though, now that you mention it.

I shudder to think about the money i'd save on tyres and fuel without the likes of our friendly volunteers. That goes for Team Charade also...

I don't have a problem with asking Peter either, and certainly appreciate the effort he puts in with organising all of this. But I emailed him last week and am still waiting for a reply, so posted here to ask if anyone else had heard whether their payment was received or not.

Now that we are down to 3 days until the driver training day, does anyone have info on what is happening?
What time is this starting in the morning?
Are we all (or some of us) meeting as a group and traveling down?
Refresh my memory, what is the easiest way to get to the driver training center, is it left off the highway at the hyperdome?

My turn for silly questions...
What do I bring?
What do I wear?
Do we hire helmets?
Should I put my hardtop on?
Its my first time so any info would be great.
THANKS,
David

- no helmets
- hat and sunscreen would be advised
- bring your hardtop if you are concerned about water spray, but typically it doesn't get in the cabin.
It should be a fun afternoon.

Well hasn't this been a busy little thread!
I have just sent an e-mail to all of the people who were lucky enough to get a spot at this event.
The details for the day are incorporated in that e-mail.
Please ensure you have completed the form I sent out earlier and have it with you on the day, they require all form before we start.
I won't post the details here so I don't confuse people.
Generally it is easier to chase the people who haven't paid rather than confirm everyone elses payment so I apaologise if people were expecting confirmation.
I have had quite a bit on lately and some of it wasn't even car club related
Uncle A, It could be argued either way which area it should be in but you also have to keep in mind that this forum isn't the primary avenue for disseminating info to members. Putting events up here tends to create more work for us volunteers because you then get into the member v's non-member debate and then you have to ensure each person is a current member before you allocate spots etc etc. So it may be easier not to put it here (or there) at all!

Are there many of us?? Was planning on giving you a call, but how about maccas Aspley 11am? That'd be good for you and me boags, but if anyone else is keen to meet up on the way, we could organise something more convenient/closer to town perhaps?
