and what do you think the negative terminal on the battery is grounded to ?

but yeah, probably a good idea to ground it back to a common point to get rid of any ground potential differences... what is the correct term for that again?

Mike, the only way forward here is to get Mazfix to go through the invoice with you, item by item and show you on the vehicle which is which.

Cheers,
Danny

Your response will greatly define the relationship that you have with this company.

You may ask them for the old parts (like the battery). Technically it is yours not theirs. If they cannot produce it, you may choose to refuse to pay for the new one (particularly as you had just fitted one and can prove it from receipts and should have it fixed under warranty).

Irrespective, if the work they have done was NOT on the original quotation they prepared, you are not bound to pay for it, but you should give them the opportunity to return the car to the original condition. This should happen immediately, at their cost, and without damage to your vehicle. Not over the next week whilst they hold your car hostage or by literally ripping stuff of the car.

For my 2c worth, they have done some work that may or may not have been necessary, but they should have sought your approval FIRST. Ideally this request is accompanied by a firm quote, from them, to you.

However if you gave them instructions along the lines of 'make it roadworthy', they have a fairly strong case.

LESSON: Always be very specific when dealing with tradesmen, plumbers, mechanics, whatever.

It should run smoothly. There must be a problem (fuel/air/electrics......not necessarily in that order) causing the coughing and spluttering.

See how it is after the tune, aftermarket management can take a lot of tweaking to get right.

If it's not properly tuned yet, don't lean on the engine. Rotaries are very easy to pop when badly tuned.

I replied to this the other day, this forum has some issues!

Unsure of which brand the front brakes are,but theyre still quite small so visit the hopperstoppers website and maybe look into an upgrade if youre gonna be doing warp speeds.

The clutch as far as i know is a heavy duty brass button.
I tracked down the guy who originally did the conversion (also called mike) but im unsure if Grandpa peter emu(who i got the car from) changed the clutch at all.

get pics up.
