From those who've gone turbo - do you use a ceramic or metal core cat convertor, and for which one, why?

I use a metalcat cat convertor, it pretty exxy at about $350 but from the searching I did on google it seems to be the best there is.

I thought the best cat for a turbo was any modified* version.

*modified with a big screwdriver or steel pipe through the guts
'92, Red, Hardtop, Noisy CAI, Even more Noisy Exhaust, AVO Shocks with TJR Springs (Not so Fuli drifto speco).

if you have seen the centres side by side you will see that the metal buscuit flows a lot better then a ceramic one. I would go metal for any modified exhaust application - turbo or na.

I've got as metal cat on the rotary. If you pick one up and hold it against the light, you can pretty much see thru it, so they must flow well. Also the metal substrate is stronger and can withstand heat from the turbo better, so that this doesn't happen (which is a non-metal cat that was in my car...who said rotaries are hard on their cats!):

metal cat on my puppy.

Mate with an F6 Typhoon swapped the stocko for a 3.5\" metal cat and picked up pretty impresssive numbers (5+ rwkw) on the dyno
