ADE - drive through Adelaide Hills - 14/04 (Sat Night)
Hi all,
Since I've got nothing planned for next Saturday (14/04) night , I was hoping to organise an unofficial spirited cruise up the Adelaide Hills. For minimal traffic, I was thinking maybe starting some time late in the afternoon (5:00pm meet for a 5:30pm departure) and then finishing off with Pizza in the evening.
I'm relatively new to Adelaide so I'm up for any suggestions as to which roads/route to take. I've been told that Deviation, Lobethal and Gorge Roads are quite popular. If this is the case, then we can probably start from Greenhill Rd and finish up in Newton. It would be great if somebody who's been on these roads before can lead the way.
Feel free to add suggestions as to where to go and what to do afterwards. If any of you want to have dinner afterwards, let me know numbers so I can find and book a place to eat a week beforehand.
All sensible invites are welcome and please spread the word with other forumites.
Cheers,
Danny

I think thats a bit early to do it though, theres still quite a bit of traffic that early.
Enjoy it guys, I'll organise another hills run at a later date, I've got some goood ones ;)
Damn... That's a real pity. What time to you work till?
We can have dinner first and go for the cruise afterwards. There'll definately be no traffic by then Only problem is trying to keep the food down during the drive . And if it's late enough, you can join us after work.

Are we talking about the sandwich bar? (I thought something more greasy would be more approapriate for a Saturday night )
I'll be happy to make the booking once we can get all the numbers together. Cheers Vu for the suggestion

Thanks for the great responce guys.
OK... Meeting details:
When: Saturday 14, April
Where: Victoria Park - Fullarton Rd
Time: 5:00pm meet for a 5:30pm departure (so there's still some daylight. Unless traffic is going to be a problem, we can do the cruise at night instead)
What to bring:
CB Radios (if any)
1/2 Tank Fuel
Some money for dinner.
I will need to know how many people are interested for dinner at Charlies Diner to make the booking. Partners and friends are welcome so please get your numbers together before early next week.
Looking forward to next week.

Sorry to hear you're booked out that night. But don't worry, I'm sure there'll be another run soon. Hell you can cook for us next time
Enjoy your night.
