KPM dyno run tune - 73.5KW

Postby Astroboysoup » Sat Mar 31, 2007 2:42 pm

Had the joint Prelude Aust and others dyno day today.

Overall im pretty happy with my results and got to compare them to another MX5. Thanks Adam for jumping on.

I got 73.5 kw

Image

car was strapped down, tyre pressure at 50psi and ran in 4th gear.

I'll get the print out up when i scan it. A/F ranges between 13.7 - 12.3

The DFA won't make much of a difference.

im going to turn the timing back down from 14deg to stock 10 now and get another emanage in the future to to the timing and injection properly.

A lot of it apparently lol

This might explain my rather poor fuel consumption

the Apexi SAFC make a huge differnce?? if you got a piggy back or intercepting computer would you pretty much no longer need the SAFC?

yeh pretty much

as long as your piggy back can control fuel as well as injection.

SAFC only tricks the ECU telling it the another air flow value in order to lean or enrich the fuel curve.

yeh timing is bumped to 14deg advanced but i debumped it now. back to 10deg. stock, the induction noise back on 10deg is a lot scarier.. there is a lot more hissing!!! and more vacuum according to my new vacuum gauge :)

gonna use a e-manage ultimate and do the timing properly.

and yeh yeh yeh the SAFC is a piggy back but it doesn't do much :) looks nice though

anyone recon i can beat 86kw??

thats what the 94 CRX got. bloody VTEC cars.

think i might have been the lowest there that day.

new computer and cams would bump me over 80.. maybe 86???

and new head, ported and polished and a straight through exhaust??

I was thinking for my next mods i'll get the

computer
camshafts
straight through exhaust (with hi flow cat, being environmentally friendly)
and then if i still haven't broken the 86 mark, porting on the head.

aiming for this over a 2 year period.
