Hey Solo, Did you order yours off the guy from ebay?
How long did he take to respond to you?
It's been 2 days now and I still haven't heard from him
How would I know, I'm only a puppet!

I have emailed him 4 times since last week and got so desperate I phoned him today, but of course it was night time there when I rang so no answer, but left a message.......
(Apparently he has a really bad reputation for not contacting people (been reading other forums) and of course you do not get issued with a tracking number as stated on ebay from them, so you have no idea what's going on or if they have posted the item.)
Just wondered if anyone else is having this problem also that has ordered from him.......

I do know that one forum memeber had the same issue. It took 14 days instead of 5(which is what others have said, inlcuding me).
I wouldn't be too worried, you are well protected by ebay if you have to make a claim. These guys don't like negative feedback, so they usually bend over backwards for you.
I'd give him another couple of days, then maybe open a dispute in ebay. Stay polite through the dispute process and just let him know that you opened it because you hadn't heard from him and you are concerned.
Good luck, I hope it all works out.

Finally installed the shocks. It was more work than I had expected. Particularly accessing and removing all the nuts. The whole process took my mate and I 6 hours, but it was raining
Anyways, the drive is a little softer on setting 1, and I say a little softer. Its still noisy as hell, but I think its the ms5 more so than the shocks. The car still flexes and scuttles like crazy over big potholes.
On the other hand, the car drive and grips like a baby suckling, on setting 4.
I now have a knocking sound coming from the left rear which we're unable to locate. I will take it to the mechanics to find.
Just be patient with JDWERKS off ebay. It took him a week but I did receive a tracking number through UPS and the goods arrived at my door in 2 weeks.

Boags' recommended supplier on eBay worked great for me, $498 landed here in OZ in under a week, great service.
There's a variety of ways to fit them, some make no sense to me at all, I used:
http://www.good-win-racing.com/mazda/mi ... ation.html
It was all so easy and straight forward, I did use a scissor jack to push down the rear suspension enough to remove the shocks.
BTW in another thread I commented that the NB 4 way adjustable KYBs were a little too firm, but further driving led to the conclusion that they do actually 'bed in' and become quite reasonable. Certainly didn't intrude on a recent series of test drives...

zoomzoom wrote:I like many of our forumities now, am running the ebay kyb shocks. I havn't even bothered to firm them up at all even on the track, I figure I will learn to drive the car before I change it to suit my driving. Even on full soft they are great, although I do have heavier swaybars.
When budgeting remember to price in some new bumpstops/boots if yours are shagged.
What is the ride like on the soft setting with Kings? And compared to stock springs shockies?
Thanks
Dan
