Sooooo - not to be outdone by Goags - I mean Boags...
Here is my heatshield. It's not as bling as bling can be, but it's a bugger to make these things from scratch. I don't know how some of the guys get their DIY airboxes/heatshields looking so damn good.....

I'm hoping it does what's needed.

Nothing wrong with a bit of friendly rivalry... We'll have to dyno on the same day too!

Do it in cardboard first UA, have a few goes till you get it right, then do the final product.
The one Russell did at short notice for the Moneypit wasn't pretty, but it did the job.

Bit late for that now, seeing as I did it last night.....
It's hard to see from the pics, but it wraps around the whole side of the turbo between the turbine and the airfilter, and around the dumppipe, between it and everything else - leaves about 10mm clear space on both sides of the shield.....
It's a good material to work with, but the shaping was tricky..... as the cuts on my hands are proof of.

Cal.
your sort of limited to the legnth of the airflow meter wiring
you could legnthen it but where ever you re route it to you still need to have the big dirty AFM!
i say ditch the f'er! so much more creative possiblities!
