Car wont start :(

....and after a quick visit to the local mazda dealer-

and collecting the new pump from the service department -

Here is the new and old pump together -

The new pump fitted to the fuel pump assembly -

Install it back into the fuel tank -

....and start the car

It's idling too fast Andrew... could be the fuel pump

A whole week without the BlingBeast??? You must need therapy by now! I recommend a visit to Dr Jack (Daniels). The Pinsent bar at Wangaratta serves it nicely, and should be far enough to warm the engine. Perhaps stay overnight and visit Winton for a refreshing lap or two....

In an effort to see why my pump failed i decided to see what was inside the old fuel pump -

..and this next pic is i think what caused the problem of the pump not starting up, dirt on the commutator (though i could be wrong.) -

is that the new (finally finished) service department? last time i was there (only a few weeks ago) that same scary looking service department boy looked after me, but they were operating out of a portable tin shed :mrgreen:

which they have been doing so for some time now.
